Standard BioTools is looking for a Product Manager, Imaging. The Imaging Product Manager will report to Vice President, Mass Cytometry Product Line. This highly visible role is responsible for Standard BioTool’s suite of Imaging products. This individual will be responsible for implementing the global product line strategy for the Imaging Mass Cytometry instruments, software, reagents, and service products. This cross functional role will include management of on-market products, new product development, product roadmap, product life cycle management, pricing, and product positioning/differentiation.
The successful candidate will ensure the product(s) meet target revenue, target margin, and market share worldwide. The incumbent will work closely with R&D, Marketing, and a global commercial team (Field Applications, Service, and Sales) to drive product line growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, confidence and credibility to speak with KOLs, at industry conferences, to clearly communicate the value of the product/platform portfolio.
  • Develop product line strategy for the imaging market to achieve company growth objectives.

  • Create and manage product roadmap to support product strategy in collaboration with product marketing.

  • Gather, analyze, and act on the product, market, customer, and competitive insights.

  • Develop comprehensive user and product requirements in support of new product development.

  • Lead/shepherd products through the new product development process, ensuring adherence to milestones.

  • Ensure clear messaging, positioning, and sales tools are in place to support market products.

  • Manage the end of the product life cycle and address any key obsolescence issues.

  • Collect and validate VOC

  • Develop and present business cases

  • Work closely with Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Commercial teams to execute programs and deliverables.

  • Work with Marketing, assist and support business objectives at trade shows and KOL User Group/Campaigns

  • Work with R&D team sand external partners, to enhance the product portfolio and drive product line growth.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in imaging technology and market analysis is strongly preferred.

  • 6+ years of work experience in life sciences, biotechnology

  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in product management

  • Experience in product life cycle management and product launch processes

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people or functions.

  • Able to develop credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Travel up to 30% of the time

Range for Role:

$94,000.00-$134,000.00
