Radiologist at Akicita Federal, LLC – Shiprock, New Mexico

The Radiologist will support the mission of the Indian Health Service by providing comprehensive, culturally acceptable radiology services to American Indian and Alaska Native patients. This role involves providing both outpatient and inpatient Radiology care in accordance with established medical standards and facility policies.

Location: Northern Navajo Medical Center, Shiprock, NM

Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 07001530, excluding federal holidays.

On-Call: Required on-call duties (carrying a pager) for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Patient Care & Interpretation: Provide professional Radiology interpretation services for patients, including during emergencies and other situations as they arise.

Clinical Consultation: Consult with members of the surgical and Radiology staff regarding patient care matters.

Quality Assurance: Ensure patients receive proper Radiology interpretations and adhere to the Northern Navajo Medical Center's quality assurance plan.

Medical Records Management: Review clinical records and complete all patient documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) before the end of each shift.

Compliance: Perform duties in accordance with the Shiprock Service Unit Medical Staff By-Laws, Rules & Regulations, and

competency standards.

Experience: A minimum of 52 weeks of experience in the role of a Radiologist.

Licensure: A current, valid, and unrestricted license in any state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory.

Mandatory Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)

Board Status: Must be Board Certified.
