Who: A global manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a senior finance executive to lead North America regional finance operations.
What: Oversee financial strategy, operational performance, governance, and team leadership across manufacturing, distribution, and showroom operations.
When: This is a full-time executive leadership position with immediate start availability.
Where: Based in Chicago, Illinois, primarily onsite with regional travel as needed.

Job Description:
The VP Finance – North America serves as the senior regional finance leader, partnering with executive leadership to translate strategy into disciplined financial plans, strengthen governance, and build a high-performing finance organization across multiple operating entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Lead all North America finance activities including FP&A, accounting oversight, operational finance, and performance management.

• Develop annual operating plans and long-range strategies aligned with growth and margin objectives.

• Provide financial visibility across manufacturing, distribution, and showroom operations.

• Deliver data-driven insights supporting pricing, product mix, channel strategy, and capital allocation.

Performance Management & Operational Finance

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.

• Improve working capital performance including inventory and cash flow optimization.

• Support cost discipline initiatives across operational environments.

• Establish KPI frameworks linking operational results to financial outcomes.

Governance, Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate reporting standards.

• Partner with Corporate Finance on consolidation, reporting, and audit readiness.

• Strengthen internal controls during transition from legacy infrastructure.

• Support risk management and promote accountability and integrity.

Team Leadership & Organizational Design

• Build and develop a high-performing regional finance team.

• Align structure and talent with long-term strategic goals.

• Collaborate with Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, and international counterparts.

• Champion a finance culture balancing operational excellence with business partnership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in manufacturing or multi-site operations.

• Proven executive partnership experience in complex, multi-entity organizations.

• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance management.

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
