Saw Operator in Fort Wayne, Indiana at QuikCut LLC

QuikCut is seeking Saw Operators for our Fort Wayne location. Saw Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut metal materials to specified dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using measuring tools
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment

• Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role in an industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
