- Design and lead the evolution of scalable, cross-platform data architecture, establishing standards and best practices across multiple engineering teams.
- Drive integration strategies that unify data systems and enable new cross-product capabilities, insights, and features.
- Lead the development of AI and backend infrastructure, including data pipelines, model-ready datasets, and deployment frameworks for machine learning and LLM-powered features.
- Build, maintain, and optimize large-scale data pipelines (batch and streaming) to support analytics and operational use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor and support data engineers, identifying skill gaps and elevating overall team capabilities through leadership and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and prototype emerging technologies, particularly in AI and data infrastructure, to drive innovation and improve system performance.
- Contribute to engineering planning, roadmap prioritization, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and performance.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields within complex, large-scale environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing distributed data systems across multiple products or business units.
- Strong expertise in cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent platforms.
- Hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into data systems, including working with large language models or advanced analytics pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python and deep understanding of modern data architecture principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices across teams.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes is a plus.
- Competitive compensation ranging from $220,000 to $240,000 USD.
