We’re looking for an experienced Machinist III to take on complex machining work while helping guide and develop others on the team. This is a senior-level, hands-on role for someone who is confident running advanced equipment and solving problems on the floor.
What You’ll Do- Set up and operate complex manual and CNC machines, including multi-axis mills, lathes, and grinders
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and part quality
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and CAD models
- Perform precision inspections using tools like CMMs, micrometers, and calipers
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to setup, tooling, and quality
- Identify and support process improvements to reduce cycle time and improve output
- Perform advanced maintenance and equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and production data
- Mentor and train Machinist I and II team members
- 5+ years of machining experience, including CNC setup and programming
- Strong knowledge of G-code and CAD/CAM software
- Ability to work independently on complex parts with tight tolerances
- Advanced blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience mentoring or training others
- Technical training or formal apprenticeship in machining
- Experience in a precision manufacturing or regulated environment
- Machine shop setting with exposure to noise, metal shavings, and cutting fluids
- Use of PPE including safety glasses, composite toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for precision work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Work on equipment that supports life-changing medical technologies
