2. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

Aptean is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Data Foundation Manager to lead Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Services across key business domains. The role will drive identification, quantification, and resolution of data issues through AI-led automation and process improvements, while establishing data governance standards including metadata management and data definitions. It will also manage user support (SLA-based), data maintenance, and refresh activities. The goal is to ensure trusted, scalable data that enables accurate analytics, insights, and decision-making.

5. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and implement a comprehensive Data Quality & Governance strategy and operating model across business domains (quote to cash)
  • Establish measurable data quality frameworks, KPIs, and health scorecards to track impact on analytics and business insights.
  • Proactively identify data quality issues, quantify business impact, and prioritize based on outcome-driven approach.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive end-to-end remediation including system and process fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and execute structured remediation plans with clear ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes
  • Drive automation of data validation, monitoring, and remediation to reduce/eliminate manual data cleansing (leveraging AI, automation, and process enhancements)
  • Build and operationalize data governance frameworks including metadata management, data definitions, lineage, and business glossary.
  • Provide user support (case management), ensuring timely resolution of data-related issues within defined SLAs.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify data gaps, process improvements, and data/AI-driven opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on current state, future state, and data management roadmap
  • Lead and manage a team of contractors, ensuring accountability, quality, and scalable delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • 9+ years of experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Data Services, with 4+ years in leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes and associated data flows.
  • Proven experience in defining data quality frameworks and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (Salesforce.com); strong navigation skills and understanding of underlying data structures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Azure (or similar platforms) to analyze data, identify anomalies, and work with semantic models.
  • Familiarity with third-party data enrichment processes and integrations.
  • Experience driving automation, AI-led data quality initiatives, and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to connect data issues to business impact and drive outcome-based prioritization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability, including issue identification, impact quantification, RCA, and resolution.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ownership, accountability, and decision-making capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalations, and deadlines effectively.
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing business needs.
