Job Description

Staff Full Stack Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Full Stack Engineer in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare data and modern software engineering, focused on building scalable, user-facing applications that power clinical workflows. You will design and develop full-stack features that help providers access and act on critical patient information in real time. The position involves working across React-based interfaces, APIs, and cloud infrastructure in AWS. You will collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and data teams to deliver intuitive and reliable experiences. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on clean code, scalability, and usability. This is an opportunity to shape core products that directly influence how healthcare data is consumed and leveraged at the point of care.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and operate full-stack web applications, including React-based user interfaces and the APIs that support them.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable features from concept through production deployment.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and non-technical stakeholders to prototype and iterate on customer-facing features.
  • Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions across frontend and backend services.
  • Work across engineering teams to maintain and improve shared AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability across systems.
  • Guide engineering best practices and support continuous improvement across the team.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and product priorities.
  • Support end-to-end ownership of services, from UI interaction to backend systems and data flow.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack or software engineering roles, with strong frontend and backend exposure.
  • Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
  • Proficiency in backend systems and API development using REST and/or GraphQL.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB).
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable systems and contribute to architecture decisions.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Nice to have: experience with healthcare systems, HIPAA-compliant APIs, FHIR R4, TEFCA, or security/compliance frameworks like HITRUST.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a mindset for continuous learning and improvement.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package including base salary and equity (160,000–200,000 USD range mentioned).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Wellness benefits supporting physical and mental health.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching.
  • Unlimited paid time off for flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-impact, mission-driven environment shaping healthcare technology.
  • Collaborative and innovative culture with strong engineering ownership.
