Location: Apaseo el Grande Guanajuato.

Direct reports: 2 people.

Reports to: Direct Procurement VP , Geneva Switzerland, dotted line to Wella Mexico Plant Manager.

THE ROLE

The Direct Purchasing Procurement Associate Director is responsible for implementing sourcing global strategies locally for the acquisition of all Materials (Raw and Pack Materials) and any other critical inputs for the manufacturing of Wella Care and Color products, guaranteeing optimal quality, cost and delivery times. This position plays a key role in supplier relationship management negotiations performed at local level, and the implementation of savings projects as well as sustainable and efficient purchasing practices. Additionally, you must collaborate closely with other areas of the company, such as production, quality, and finance, to align purchasing objectives with the operational needs and strategic objectives of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct Procurement responsibility for implementing in Mariscala Wella Procurement Global and Regional Strategies into tangible and executed sourcing plans, unlocking both Savings and Value for Mariscala plant
  • Acts as the link between Global and Local Procurement when it comes to execution of saving, supply issue, BCP & technical projects, as well as New Initiative projects. In details:
    1. First level of escalation on supply issue while managing locally the relationship
    2. Budget: report monthly the implementation of saving project & Price ,support yearly budget plans
    3. Local Initiatives managmeent support : Prices , Masterdata...
    • Develop local procurement teams into their procurement expertise
    • Tireless research for suppliers that deliver best price balanced with best service with support of the team by developping strong relationship with key local suppliers
    • Regulatory/ESG: support Wella Global teams by participating to the actions to comply with Wella ambitions
    • Implement Business reviews at local level whenever needed.
    • Develop, Standardize and Optimize Procurement Processes.
    • Identify, Evaluate and Execute Savings projects to increase Value for Wella Mariscala plant.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Requirements:

    • Procurement Experience >5 years, Ongoing experience in/with purchasing methods, cost analysis and tools for Direct Procurement.
    • 4-Years degree in Engineering, Business Engineering, or related field of study.
    • Mandatory English Advanced Level
    • Project Management Skills.
    • Sourcing (RFI, RFP, RFQ), Negotiation and Contracting Expertise.
    • Supplier Relationship Management at Local level
    • Adaptability
