In response to this community-wide challenge, Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS), provides 14 programs and services in 28 locations, in Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana, which provide children with permanent homes and adults with increased self-sufficiency. Status: Exempt

The Therapist provides evidence-based therapeutic services to assigned clients, for a 40 hour work week, maintaining a minimum of 20 or more billable hours per week, including play therapy when clinically indicated. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services and care while supporting organizational growth through outreach and referral development, as well as flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director to meet program and organizational needs.

In collaboration with and as directed by the Regional Director, the Therapist participates in outreach and marketing efforts to promote therapy services and generate referrals. Responsibilities include completing and updating outreach worksheets on a weekly basis in accordance with agency standards.

Responsible for management and supervision of full and part-time Therapists to ensure strength-based, family focused, goal driven, and Christ centered services are provided to clients and families.

Essential Job Functions:

· Monitor service delivery to ensure the mission of PCHAS is supported by all therapists, working on site and in the community.

· Produce 20+ billable hours per week by conducting clinical assessments and providing counseling services.

· Maintains client files and documentation according to legal standards as required by policy, procedures, and contract/grant requirements, in an accurate and timely manner.

· Meets agency productivity expectations on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

· Supervise full and part time therapists, practicum intern students as assigned, provide monthly individual supervisory sessions and completions of annual performance concerns for development plans and/or training needs.

· Monitor program goals and outcomes with the Regional Director.

· Attend clinical staffing, administrative meetings, and trainings as assigned by supervisor

· Monitor therapists for completion of assessments, treatment plans, and documentation of therapy sessions according to agency, Medicaid, Insurance, and COA standards.

· Oversight of the counseling program and execution of clinical services

· Review and screen referrals made to counseling center and assign to a therapist caseload.

· Participate in the process of screening clinical applicants, interviewing, and hiring.

· Maintains client files and documentation according to ethical/legal standards as required by policy, procedures, and contract/grant requirements, in an accurate and timely manner.

· Performs other duties as assigned to meet agency goals.

Working Conditions/Hours:

Works in a typical office setting with Waxahachie as the base, including the Itasca campus, the Irving office, or other DFW locations as established by referrals sources, to provide therapy, complete, paperwork, documentation, other indirect service tasks, or other duties as assigned. May conduct therapy in an agency office, in a home setting, being in-person or virtual, at times may choose an outdoor setting depending on weather conditions. Must be able to work evening hours and be flexible with scheduling clients after 7:00 pm when needed

Requirements:

Therapists Supervisor shall possess a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. Must be licensed in a clinical discipline, i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc. in the state of Texas. Two years of supervision in a clinical setting is preferred.

Skills:

Represents Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) to the professional community. Must have strong verbal and written communication and ability to represent the agency well. Builds and maintains positive community relationships with referral sources, Family Court, treatment providers, schools, and agency partners. Builds and maintains rapport with children, parents, and families; actively managing and resolving conflicts. Plans, arranges, and/or provides crisis intervention services as needed. Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA standards for all assigned clients and families.

Must be able to operate computer using agency approved software programs, and other office machines such as copier, calculator, telephone, etc. Must have the ability to navigate data entry systems. Strong psychosocial assessment and decision-making skills; possess good understanding of various treatment methodologies utilizing strength-based clinical interventions and evidence-based practices. Excellent time management, organization, planning, and assertive communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve conflict/problem-solve with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work with people from various ethnic groups in a culturally competent manner.

Other Requirements:

Must hold a valid driver’s license, have and maintain a risk-free driving record. Must be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care disqualification list screenings. As requested, must submit fingerprints for review by the state of your employment and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with the results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
