Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate wire drawing machines to reduce the diameter of wire, ensuring accurate size, suitable finish, and required mechanical properties.
• Set up and operate large industrial machines, including wire drawing dies, following detailed work instructions and production orders.
• String up wire onto machines, perform adjustments as needed, and monitor operations to maintain the highest wire quality, meeting customer specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of the wire during production to ensure consistency and quality, using tools such as micrometers and small hand tools.
• Perform quality checks, including weighing, tagging, and boxing the finished product.
• Utilize hoists, pulleys, and various hand tools safely within the mill environment.
• Interact with production software for job setup, documentation, and tracking.
• Follow all safety protocols rigorously, ensuring a safe work environment, and participate in safety meetings.
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
• Be prepared to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
