Associate Engineer, QA

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer with strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adaptable to new technologies, and comfortable working across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on automation testing and AI-assisted testing practices. The selected candidate will receive guidance and mentorship while working across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on automated testing and modern AI-enabled QA approaches.
Key Responsibilities
• Learn and understand application features, workflows, and business requirements
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for web and mobile applications
• Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and technologies in the QA ecosystem
• Perform functional, non-functional, regression, and sanity testing across platforms
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
• Identify, log, and track defects clearly with proper reproduction steps
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide testability feedback
• Maintain and improve existing automation test suites
• Contribute to test documentation, test reports, and automation metrics
• Work closely with with QA team, stakeholders and developers to understand and adapt best practices
• Leverage AI tools (such as AI copilots, test generation tools, and analysis assistants) to improve test coverage, productivity, and defect identification
• Follow QA processes, coding standards, documentation guidelines, and responsible AI usage practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
• Interest in or hands-on exposure to test automation and AI assisted development/testing
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the team's technology stack
• Ability to work on multiple platforms (Web, Mobile, APIs - training will be provided where required)
• Basic programming knowledge in any language (JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
• Prior experience (full-time or internship) in QA or test automation
• Exposure to automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or similar
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or test reporting tools
• Understanding of API testing concepts
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
