Lead Plant Operator

Valicor Environmental Services is looking for a Lead Plant Operator to work in our Adamsville, AL facility.

Job Duties

• Load and unload trucks at the facility
• Log in all weights and counts of loads
• Safe chemical handling including bulk unloading and transfer of chemicals
• Treatment of waste streams with the use of heated tanks and chemicals
• Operate pumps, valves, PLC screens and other light industrial equipment
• Operate biological WWTP including OWS, EQ, MBR, DAF, Lamella and other mechanical solids management equipment
• Conduct WWTP laboratory analysis for operational performance and operational adjustments
• Perform mathematical calculations for chemical dosages, RAS/WAS and loadings
• Conduct benchtop stream treatability for required chemical dosages
• Complete minor mechanical repairs
• Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner
• Complete daily forklift inspection
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all plant safety policies and practices

Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk throughout duration of shifts
• Must be able to pass all required safety/environmental courses upon hire
• Ability to safely climb ladders and steps
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Must be willing to learn the operation and adhere to ALL safety guidelines
• Must be self-motivated and posses personal accountability
• Ability to use computer (data entry)
• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift
