We are currently recruiting a Procurement Operations & Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working towardcommon goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility andclear accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

  • Support procurement operations in the country, includingimplementation of best practice in terms of the S2P process including supplieronboarding & management, alignment to policy in terms of catalogues, RFPsand automatic POs
  • Identify opportunities to deliver year over year savings interms of recurrent spend, by consolidating suppliers or spend across theAtlantica global organization (where possible)
  • Manage supplier issues including order discrepancies,delivery issues or invoice mismatches, liaising between suppliers, finance andbusiness units to resolve issues quickly.

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Manage implementation of MRO, Chemicals and other recurrentspend cost categories in Mexico, supporting Operations with their day to dayrequirements including full procurement support for major and routinemaintenance events and capital investments
  • Develop and execute category strategies and partnerships formajor equipment - BESS, Solar PV (modules, inverters, batteries, transformers),in coordination with Major Equipment Category Manager
  • Support strategic sourcing and category management approachto EPC contracts for construction of new growth projects in Mexico, workingwith EPC Category Manager.
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and riskassessments to identify sourcing opportunities and support business growth inMexico.
  • Support supplier pre-qualification, qualification, andperformance management, using quantifiable assessment tools.
  • Support regional alignment with South America supply andprocurement initiatives.

Contracting & Negotiation

  • Lead complex supply and EPC contract negotiations (MSA,LNTP, framework agreements) to secure optimal terms, compliance, and riskmitigation.
  • Draft, implement, and manage supply agreements for mainconstruction services and key equipment.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with asset managers, engineering, construction, andlegal teams to define technical specifications, contract structures, andproject requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensuretimely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Performance Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP / S2P process to be ableto maintain and manage supplier, contract and spend master data and KPIs
  • Develop procurement KPIs, dashboards, and category plans tomonitor performance against targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost-saving, and contractualoptimization initiatives.

Compliance & Best Practice

  • Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies,regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate procurement dataacross company systems.

Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, BusinessAdministration, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience and Technical Skills
  • 7+ years of procurement, category management, or strategicsourcing experience, preferably in BESS, Solar PV, or renewable projects.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation, suppliermanagement, and procurement of complex equipment/services in an internationalenvironment.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies,especially BESS and Solar PV.
  • Experience in managing procurement for large-scaleconstruction or energy infrastructure projects.
