Graphics Designer and Artwork Coordinator at Dempsey Corp Canada – Toronto, Ontario

We’re looking for a creative and detail-driven Graphic Designer / Artwork Coordinator to support the end-to-end development of packaging, artwork, and digital assets across our beauty programs. This role blends creative design with operational artwork coordination, ensuring that all visual assets are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with brand and regulatory standards.

Working closely with internal teams, external designers, suppliers, and clients, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects moving smoothly and managing timelines.

What You’ll Do

Lead Artwork & Production Execution

• Manage the artwork process from concept through production-ready files, tracking milestones in Smartsheet.
• Create, update, and maintain packaging production artworks, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and print readiness.
• Review and approve supplier e-proofs, ensuring artwork, copy, and specifications are production-ready before final sign-off.
• Maintain version control and ensure all the files/folders are organized
• Coordinate outsourced designers’ workloads, priorities, and timelines to meet project deadlines.

Support Creative & Brand Development

• Design and support the development of packaging visuals, brand assets, and creative materials.
• Translate briefs into mood boards, color palettes, and visual directions.
• Ensure consistency across all creative outputs while adapting designs for different programs and formats.

Manage Copy & Content

• Write and manage copy decks for open order and core products.
• Create packaging copy for production artworks in line with brand and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate E-Commerce Assets

• Lead the e-commerce product image creation and approval process.
• Create and manage e-commerce copy decks.
• Ensure all digital assets meet brand standards and retailer requirements.

Collaborate Across Teams

• Attend client meetings to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and follow up on approvals.
• Act as the key point of contact between clients, internal teams, designers, and suppliers for artwork updates.
• Proactively communicate timelines, risks, and next steps to ensure alignment across teams
• Support continuous improvement of artwork workflows, tools, and documentation.

Keep Projects Organized

• Prepare mock-up samples for internal reviews, client presentations, and approval meetings.
• Coordinate sample artwork requests and track progress.
• Maintain organized artwork libraries and approval records.

What You Bring

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in artwork coordination, packaging development, or creative project management.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Google Drive, and Adobe Creative tools.
• Ability to write and manage copy decks.
• Experience using Smartsheet is an asset
• Experience with Globalvisions Automated Artwork Software is also an asset
• Experience in private label, retail, or fast-paced product environments is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
