Registered Respiratory Therapist at Shore Medical Center – Somers Point, New Jersey

Position Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses plans, administers, and evaluates patients receiving all respiratory care modalities as ordered by a physician or as delineated by Medical Center protocols. Actively participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of quality patient care. Provides emergency, critical care and general care respiratory services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Core Responsibilities
• Acts as a patient advocate and upholds patient rights
• Assures all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care
• Documents in a clear and legible manner
• Accurately documents verbal orders with read back
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care
• Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing care

Minimum Requirements
• NJ Respiratory License, RRT or CRT
• BLS, (ACLS, and PALS preferred)
• Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology
• Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull

Salary Range - $42.00 - $56.16 hourly (Based on experience)
