- Own the end-to-end strategy for insurance methodologies across all lines, including auto, home, renters, life, health, small business, and specialty
- Define and maintain standards for user value, defensibility, transparency, and update cadence of insurance assessment frameworks
- Shape the roadmap for proprietary insurance metrics and their integration into rankings and data products
- Identify opportunities to enhance datasets, including replacing or supplementing vendor data with proprietary research programs
- Set goals and quality standards for analysts working on insurance methodologies and data products
- Mentor team members on insurance concepts, risk evaluation, and methodology best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure frameworks and data products meet editorial, analytical, and licensing needs
- 5+ years of experience in insurance, with depth in at least one major line (auto, home, life, health, or small business), ideally spanning carrier, brokerage, actuarial/analytics, product management, underwriting, or regulatory/consulting roles
- Strong understanding of insurance product design, pricing, regulation, and customer experience drivers (claims handling, coverage design, exclusions, complaints, etc.)
- Experience building or overseeing analytical frameworks, scoring models, risk models, rating systems, or structured evaluations
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex insurance and regulatory concepts for non-experts
- Ability to discuss complex insurance topics clearly and provide actionable insights for consumers or internal stakeholders
- Nice-to-have: experience at a ratings agency, comparison site, fintech, insurtech, or insurance data provider; familiarity with model governance, validation, or audit processes; exposure to NPS, complaints, or regulatory reporting
