About This Position

Role Overview

The VP of Operations is a core member of the executive team, responsible for setting and executing strategic goals across Distribution Center, Logistics, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Omnichannel Fulfillment. This leader will drive operational excellence, margin growth, and distributor/dealer satisfaction, ensuring Big Green Egg’s continued success and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Set and oversee long-term operational strategies for distribution, logistics, supply chain, and facilities. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on company growth objectives and operational KPIs. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

• Distribution & Fulfillment: Direct all aspects of distribution center operations, including site selection and performance management. Evaluate and optimize omnichannel fulfillment, including fulfilling direct-to-consumer, distributor, and dealer channels; assess and implement 3PL partnerships as appropriate. Ensure high service levels, cost efficiency, and scalability.

• Supply Chain & Logistics: Oversee end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, inventory, transportation, and vendor relationships. Develop and execute strategies to maintain high distributor/dealer satisfaction. Select and manage logistics and transportation partners, with a focus on territory coverage and service excellence.

• Facilities Management: Ensure all facilities are maintained to support operational needs and company standards. Lead expansion projects and facility upgrades as required.

• Team Development: Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations team. Foster collaboration across departments and with external partners.

• Digital & Process Optimization: Drive digital transformation and process improvements to support a modern, scalable operations function. Evaluate and promote the adoption of AI tools to support your department.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, 3PL, and/or first-party logistics, or related fields.

• Proven track record of executive leadership and change management in a growth-oriented environment.

• Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education preferred.

• Experience with omnichannel fulfillment, distribution center management, and 3PL partnerships.

• Strong analytical, strategic, communication and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and complex projects.
