Advanced Clinical Nurse | Clinical Expert & Nursing Leader
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Executive DON, you will lead the delivery of high-level, age-specific nursing care within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment. How You’ll Lead
- Clinical Mastery: Oversee the full spectrum of the nursing process, from advanced patient assessments and precision medication administration to the development of sophisticated, individualized care plans.
- Strategic Oversight: You don’t just follow policy; you uphold it. You’ll delegate care and indirectly supervise ancillary staff, ensuring our high standards for safety and excellence are met on every shift.
- Patient Advocacy & Education: As a senior clinical voice, you’ll serve as a primary advocate and educator, empowering patients and their families with the knowledge they need for long-term health.

- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
- Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer.
- You must obtain PALS within six (6) months.
- Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
