Wick Buildings is adding staff to our BRAND NEW Mazomanie plant in the truss build department. This is your chance to work in a modern, clean, and safe environment, building quality components for Post-Frame buildings.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety regulations and an attitude that supports safety and quality.
• Previous experience working in a team-oriented construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to accurately build trusses.
• Measure and assemble wood components using hand and power tools to construct trusses.
• Inspect materials and finished trusses to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure the timely completion of truss assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Skills:

The required skills, such as blueprint reading and tool operation, are essential for accurately constructing trusses that meet design specifications and safety standards. Attention to detail ensures that each component is measured and assembled correctly, preventing structural issues. Physical stamina and manual dexterity are necessary to handle materials and tools efficiently throughout the workday. Preferred skills enhance the ability to visualize and plan truss layouts, improving precision and workflow. Additionally, knowledge of safety regulations and teamwork skills contribute to a safe and productive work environment, facilitating smooth project execution.
