Recruitment Coordinator

LOCATION:
Stratford, CT

Travel within state required

POSITION TYPE:
Full-Time

SHIFT(S):
M-F, days, evenings, weekends, flexibility as needed

PAY RANGE:
$45,000 - $55,000 annual

JOB SUMMARY:
Are you an energetic and people-focused recruiting professional ready to play a central role in building a strong workforce across multiple long-term care facilities? We are seeking a Recruitment Coordinator who is passionate about talent acquisition and committed to identifying, screening, and coordinating top candidates for a variety of roles. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review incoming applications and screen resumes to identify qualified candidates for open positions across multiple facilities.

• Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and fit for specific roles.

• Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates, hiring managers, and facility leaders, ensuring timely communication and follow‑up.

• Manage job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate records within the ATS (Apploi) to maintain current and accurate workflows.

• Develop and maintain relationships with facility leadership and HR partners to understand staffing needs and align recruiting efforts with operational priorities.

• Attend and represent the organization at job fairs, campus events, and community recruitment activities, building a network of qualified talent.

• Establish and grow relationships with local schools, training programs, and community partners that generate candidates (e.g., nurses, CNAs).

• Support onboarding activities for select roles, including new hire paperwork and coordination with HR systems.

• Provide regular updates and status reports on recruitment activity, candidate pipelines, and hiring progress to HR and facility leaders.

• Ensure a positive candidate experience through responsive communication and professional interactions at every stage of the recruitment process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required or equivalent recruiting experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Previous experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, including some experience recruiting for healthcare or clinical/support roles preferred.

• Comfortable reviewing applications, conducting phone screenings, and coordinating interviews for multiple facilities.

• Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage job postings and candidate pipelines (experience with Apploi is a plus).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, facility leaders, HR partners, schools, and community contacts.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional phone presence and commitment to a positive candidate experience.

• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel locally for job fairs and recruitment events.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to learn and use recruitment technology tools.
