Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Audiovisual Manger to lead onsite audiovisual operations within a premier hotel or hospitality venue in Columbus, Ohio.
This role is responsible for daily AV operations, event execution, team leadership, and client satisfaction in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in hospitality AV, live events, and team management, along with a hands-on leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
• Oversee daily AV setup, operation, and breakdown for meetings, conferences, and live events
• Ensure all AV equipment is maintained, tested, and ready for use
• Manage inventory, labor scheduling, and staffing plans
• Ensure accurate billing, work orders, and event documentation
• Enforce operational standards, safety procedures, and company policies
Client & Venue Partnership
• Act as the primary AV contact for hotel partners and event clients
• Provide onsite event support to ensure seamless execution
• Build strong relationships with venue staff and repeat clients
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, schedule, and coach a team of AV Technicians and Event Staff
• Conduct training on AV systems, service standards, and event execution
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience in audiovisual operations, live event production, or hospitality AV
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• Working knowledge of AV systems, event technology, and troubleshooting
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event/AV software systems
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred
• Experience supporting events in hotels, convention centers, or corporate venues in the Columbus market
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• CTS or other AV industry certifications
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
