Communications and Community Associate
Group O is seeking a highly capable Employee Communications Associate to support our clients' enterprise internal communications across key business priority areas. This role will lead the development and execution of clear, high-quality messaging aligned to operational updates, finance communications, marketing initiatives, change efforts, and other strategic business priorities as needed.
The ideal candidate brings strong writing discipline and the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, audience-focused communication. This position will also support tactical engagement communications and demonstrate strong proficiency in change communications, ensuring employees understand what is changing, why it matters, and what action is required.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Technical Writing
Develop and execute clear, concise internal communications aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Draft and edit messaging across operations, finance, marketing, and other business functions
- Translate technical, operational, and systems-related information into employee-friendly language
- Support leadership messaging, enterprise announcements, and business updates
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and tone alignment across digital and enterprise channels
2. Change Communications & Engagement Support
- Support organizational initiatives through structured, well-executed change communications and tactical engagement efforts.
- Develop communication plans and messaging frameworks
- Craft communications that drive awareness, alignment, and action during transitions
- Create and publish content across internal digital platforms (e.g., Internal employee communications, “Central” or equivalent)
- Support initiative launches, program rollouts, and enterprise-wide updates
3. Design & Multimedia Support
- Enhance communications through clean, professional visual assets that improve engagement and readability.
- Develop internal graphics, campaign visuals, and presentation materials
- Create assets using Canva or similar design tools
- Provide strong PowerPoint development support with attention to formatting, visual clarity, and message hierarchy
- Graphic design experience is a plus but not required
Job Qualifications
Experience & Proficiencies
- Proven experience in internal, employee, or corporate communications
- Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to simplify complex information
- Demonstrated proficiency in changing communications
- Experience writing for digital/internal platforms and enterprise messaging
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute under tight timelines
- Proficiency in Canva or equivalent design tools
- Strong PowerPoint skills with disciplined slide design and formatting
