Golf Operations Manager POSITION SUMMARY
Overview
To be responsible for managing the golf operations and operational team on a day-to-day basis across the course. Ensuring the delivery of the expected levels of service to members and guests in keeping with Century Golf Partners quality of service, standards and guest expectations. Performs as an expert sport authority, planning, managing and supervising staff performance of activities and special programs, including instructing on the game of golf and oversight of the physical facilities. This employee resolves a variety of sport and business related problems, makes decisions and prepares reports, plus makes recommendations on pertinent policies and programs to improve or enhance the profitability of the operation.
Responsibilities
Financial
- Assist the Director of Golf in managing the golf operation within the budget while maximizing revenue in all golf-related areas whenever possible.
- Assist the Director of Golf in the creation of the annual budget.
Health & Safety
- To ensure that all the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed. Ensure the necessary documentation and training is in place for the team.
- Report any incidents within the golf operation to the corporate Safety team.
- Manage the security of the golf operational team in liaison with Century Golf Partners Management and the Golf Course
Tournament Operations & Handicaps
- Develop and manage tournament operations with vision and creativity ensuring maximum participation and member satisfaction.
- Manages the golf handicapping system with the handicap committee.
Member & Guest Experience and Pace of Play
- Assist the Director of Golf in managing Golf Professionals, Golf Shop Associates, Starters, Players Assistants and Player Services that will, under direct supervision, ensure that the safety of the players, the speed of play, and the general aesthetic appearance of the golf courses are kept to the highest standards by the employees and contractors.
Daily Play & Event Management
- To oversee the smooth running of golf reservations
- To be the point of contact for the Golf Sales or membership team for golf booking.

Reports to the Director of Golf
Employment standards
Must have prior experience as a First Assistant Golf Professional at a Private Club; Minimum of four years as a golf operations supervisor; Must be at least in the PGA PGM Level 1 program; Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with major coursework in business administration or related field
