Millwork Material Handler/Forklift Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, select, and load materials
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently
- Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
- Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers
- Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily
- Maintain clean working area
- Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance)
- Perform daily safety checks on forklifts
- Perform basic maintenance to assigned motorized equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Basic:
- High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions
- Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions
Preferred:
- Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)
- Familiarity with millwork
- Experience utilizing an inventory control scanner (RFN)
- Able to measure and calculate material lengths
Physical:
- Able to move door slabs up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Able to handle pre-hung units up to 100 pounds
- Work in tandem using safe lifting practices
Work Environment:
- High traffic warehouse and shop
- Repetitive physical motion

Responsabilidades principales:
- Recibir, seleccionar y cargar materiales.
- Operar el montacargas de manera segura y eficiente.
- Verificar que los pedidos se hayan surtido con precisin despus del empacado y la carga.
- Proveer servicio al cliente bsico para clientes internos y externos.
- Trabajar con otros integrantes del equipo para procesar pedidos y completar tareas a diario.
- Mantener limpia la zona de trabajo.
- Seguir todos los procedimientos de seguridad (cumplimiento segn la OSHA).
- Realizar revisiones de seguridad diarias a los montacargas.
- Realizar mantenimiento bsico al equipo motorizado asignado.
- Realizar las tareas adicionales que se le asignen.
Requisitos:
Bsicos:
- Diploma de secundaria, preparatoria equivalente (GED) o 2 o ms aos de experiencia equivalente.
- Capacidad para entender y seguir instrucciones de seguridad/del trabajo.
- Aceptar realizar trabajo fsico bajo toda clase de condiciones climticas.
Deseables:
- Experiencia con montacargas (con asiento/contrapeso).
- Familiaridad con la industria de la carpintera.
- Experiencia en el uso de escner de control de inventario (RFN).
- Capacidad para medir y calcular la longitud de los materiales.
Fsicos:
- Capacidad para mover repetidamente paneles de puerta de hasta 23 kilos (50 libras).
- Capacidad para manejar unidades preinstaladas en marco de hasta 45 kilos (100 libras).
- Realizar trabajo en conjunto utilizando practicas de levantamiento seguras.
