This role is responsible for leading and coordinating large-scale construction and remodeling projects across multiple locations. You will oversee contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The position includes managing capital initiatives such as equipment rollouts, site improvements, paving projects, and QSR upgrades, while fostering cross-functional collaboration. You will develop project plans, track progress, mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment and enjoys mentoring teams while driving results. The role requires a balance of technical knowledge, leadership, and hands-on project management skills, with some travel expected.
Accountabilities:- Lead construction and remodel projects, including capital initiatives, equipment rollouts, and site improvements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and dependencies.
- Manage project lifecycle activities from initiation to closing, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate cross-departmental teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues or risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication and decision-making with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Develop and mentor associates in project management best practices and construction processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Civil or MEP), Construction Management, or related field.
- 510 years of experience in rollouts, remodels, and new construction, preferably in a retail or convenience store environment.
- Knowledge of construction processes, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project budgeting/financial analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring associates.
