About the Role:

The Career Quality Control position plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance within the manufacturing industry. This role involves systematically monitoring production lines, identifying defects or deviations, and implementing corrective actions to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement initiatives. By analyzing quality data and trends, the role contributes to reducing waste, minimizing rework, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Career Quality Control professional ensures that all products leaving the facility adhere to regulatory requirements and internal quality benchmarks, supporting the company’s reputation and business success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Quality Auditor).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing products in the United States.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis software such as Minitab or similar statistical tools.
  • Strong communication and training skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and report quality issues, working with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality control data to detect trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production departments to develop and update quality control procedures and standards.
  • Train and support manufacturing staff on quality control best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in supplier quality management by evaluating incoming materials and coordinating with vendors to resolve quality concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.
