Work Location & Hybrid Expectations

This role is based in the Cleveland, Ohio area and follows a hybrid work model.

Team members are expected to work in our Warrensville Heights office two days per week, typically Tuesday and Wednesday. The remaining days may be worked remotely.

The Role

The data analyst is a modern, technically curious analyst who blends marketing knowledge with strong communication. This role goes beyond dashboards; you will help build measurement frameworks, implement tracking, analyze cross-channel performance and translate data into strategic recommendations that influence media, creative and client business decisions.

You will work closely with senior analysts and data engineers to ensure the integrity of our data pipelines. You will serve as a key collaborator for media and account teams, using data to elevate the entire team and our client’s business.

This role leans more junior level rather than mid or senior level with someone who has 1-3 years of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Measurement Strategy and Planning

  • Support the development of measurement frameworks aligned to client objectives
  • Translate marketing goals into KPIs and reporting requirements
  • Identify data gaps and recommend solutions with guidance from senior team members

Tracking and Data Implementation

  • Implement and QA tracking across web, media and CRM platforms using tools such as Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Ensure data integrity and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Support the implementation of cookie consent frameworks (e.g., Consent Mode) to ensure compliance with evolving data regulations.

Analysis and Insight Development

  • Analyze digital, media and customer data, going beyond surface metrics to uncover trends, performance drivers and optimization opportunities, and to identify business impact.
  • Proactively bring optimization recommendations to internal and client teams.

Reporting and Visualization

  • Build and evolve dashboards in Looker Studio and Power BI, supporting senior team members with maintenance and with updates to Calculated Fields (Regex/Logic) or DAX.
  • Design reporting that tells a clear performance story and automate recurring reporting processes where possible.

Collaboration and Growth

  • Partner with media, strategy and account teams to influence decision-making.
  • Support senior team members on advanced analytics initiatives.

Data Management and Technical Capability

  • Proficiency in SQL to pull and join datasets; demonstrate a “full-stack” curiosity regarding how data flows from source to warehouse to visualization.
  • Assist in maintaining technical documentation of data maps and schemas to ensure ingestion logic reflects marketing nuances.
  • Transform and blend datasets to create unified reporting views that ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Standard Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in digital marketing analytics or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, mathematics or similar discipline
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, Power BI or similar tools
  • Experience working with media performance data across paid search, paid social, display, programmatic, etc.
  • Strong foundational SQL knowledge and a desire to grow into the infrastructure and engineering side of analytics
  • Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM tools into daily workflows to increase efficiency
  • Curiosity around advanced analytics such as attribution, forecasting or testing frameworks
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to make data understandable to non-experts
Technical Skills for Success:
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience working with data visualization tools like Google Looker Studio, Power BI and/or Datorama to create custom visualizations for clients
  • Ability to understand relational data models to support the engineering life cycle; assist with documentation and technical QC of data maps to ensure that ingestion logic accurately reflects marketing needs
  • Understanding of the privacy landscape, including cookie consent management and first-party data strategies
  • Demonstrated success presenting complex data in a clear and compelling manner, both verbally and in writing/visually; this includes the creation of graphical and tabular representations of data
