Job Summary:

The Welder works under limited supervision performing skilled welding tasks to meet required industry standards, while adhering to good safety practices and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work with limited supervision performing skilled welding tasks to meet required industry standards, while adhering to good safety practices and procedures.
• Attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with safety practices, rules, and regulations while performing job duties.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder/fitter
• Must be able to pass procedure tests, as needed
• Must be able to weld steel, aluminum, and stainless
• Must be familiar with mig, tig, flux core, and stick welding
• Must have a good mechanical aptitude
• Available to work overtime when needed
• Possess a valid CDL-Class A, and a clean driving record
• Must provide own basic hand tools
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to read and follow instructions and directions
• Ability to handle physically demanding work
• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to communicate well with others

DESIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to lead helper on projects a plus
