About This Position
Description:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring product accuracy, order integrity, and compliance with established quality standards prior to shipment. This role performs detailed quality control (QC) scanning of each individual product, verifies packing list quantities, identifies discrepancies, and partners with operations teams to resolve variances. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to hold team members accountable to defined processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QC scanning of every individual product to ensure accuracy against sales orders and packing lists.
- Verify and update packing list quantities to ensure alignment with physical product counts prior to shipment.
- Identify and remove product that exceeds the ordered quantity before release.
- Escalate and investigate instances where product quantities fall below the ordered amount to determine root cause.
- Track and document team member discrepancies related to picking, packing, and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate quality control records and generate discrepancy reports as required.
- Collaborate with Shipping, Inventory, and Production teams to resolve order variances in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on fill rate, order accuracy, and inventory integrity.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, quality control, or inventory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with handheld RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to analyze discrepancies and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, reporting).
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment.
