Job Summary:The Clinical Therapist works collaboratively with the client to plan, develop and monitor the individualized service plan. Treatment plans will address co-occurring disorders, leverage Alpas Clinical programming, address family systems and other factors influencing patient’s recovery. The Clinical Therapist inspires and motivates clients and helps them develop tools to work toward recovery using evidence-based and person-centered practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluate client’s; mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatmentFacilitate daily group therapy sessionsComplete all clinical case notes same day as service providedHelp clients develop individualized treatment plans, goals and objectives, including support of education about medically assisted treatment options and referral to/collaboration with other resources on the medical and psychiatric teamsReview and recommend treatment options with patients and their familiesHelp clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to help aid their individual recovery journey from their addiction and work toward behavior modificationWork with patients to identify behaviors or situations that interfere with their recoveryTeach families about addiction or behavior disorders and help them develop strategies to cope with those problemsAt times, provide case management services such as community resources and referrals for employmentPerform any other job-related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Must have independent license and can work independently in the state of VA without SupervisionKnowledge of case management for dual diagnosis patients. Knowledge of medically assisted treatment options in the field of substance use disorder treatmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlinesMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demandsMust be willing and comfortable working independentlyExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to handle multiple projects under pressureMust have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (Google Suites and Microsoft Office)Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organizationUnderstands need for, and maintains, appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contactsExhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidence by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, clients, visitors, families, and referral sources
Compensation:$90k to $100k, depending on experienceSchedule:
