Delivery Driver at TR MILLER HEATING AND COOLING – Plainfield, Illinois

Our Delivery Associates are the backbone of our operation, keeping everything moving at full speed. By making sure our technicians have the right materials at the right time, you play a direct role in delivering the 5-star service our customers expect every day!

Job Responsibilities

• Prioritizing and completing daily delivery routes, including transporting materials to job sites and picking up from vendors
• Operating a company vehicle (primarily a box truck) safely in all weather and traffic conditions
• Coordinating with field technicians to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials for immediate job use
• Assisting with warehouse operations including load-outs, unloading, and receiving incoming deliveries
• Performing heavy lifting and material handling using proper equipment and safety procedures
• Conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness, and following all safety protocols while reporting any issues
• Other duties as assigned

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: $40,600 -$52,400/annually based on experience
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (eligible for overtime over 40hours/week)

• Must be willing and able to operate a box truck
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain certification
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move boxes, pallets, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds or more, in accordance with OSHA manual handling guidelines. Team lifting or equipment should be used when appropriate to reduce strain.
• Ability to spend approximately 80% of the workday driving between job sites, with extended periods of sitting, navigating routes, and working in varying environments
• Comfort using GPS or mobile apps for navigation and communication
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification upon hire
• Everyone is required to submit a pre-employment background check prior to start date.
