Silver Maples is a senior living community that prides itself on connections with our residents. The Housekeeping Team, has daily interaction with our staff and residents, so we are looking for an individual with great people skills, a positive attitude, and an affinity for working with the senior population to add to our already wonderful culture.

The Housekeeping Lead serves as the day-to-day point of contact for the housekeeping team within the senior living community, providing guidance, support, and direction while actively working alongside staff. This role balances leadership with hands-on responsibilities, including cleaning resident apartments, common areas, and the overall facility, as well as assisting with laundry services as needed. The Housekeeping Lead helps ensure consistent standards of cleanliness, safety, and respect for residents’ homes, while fostering teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment through clear communication and example-setting on the floor.

Requirements:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for housekeeping staff and new residents regarding housekeeping services, schedules, and expectations.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping operations by establishing routine cleaning schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, and arranging makeup cleanings as needed.
  • Assign, oversee, and actively support housekeeping staff in cleaning resident apartments, villas, common areas, offices, and facility spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards by overseeing trash and refuse removal and ensuring proper disposal in designated areas.
  • Manage housekeeping and restroom supply inventory, including monthly tracking, verification, and replenishment of routine supplies.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and safe use of cleaning equipment.
  • Monitor facility conditions and promptly report maintenance, safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, or structural issues to the Plant Operations Director.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to schedule and complete final cleans for apartment and room turnovers.
  • Lead by example by working alongside staff, assisting with daily tasks, supporting emergencies, and promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Monitor staff productivity, delegate additional tasks as appropriate, and support efficient workflow.
  • Assist the Director with hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and disciplinary processes for housekeeping staff.
  • Communicate effectively with administration and other departments to support facility-wide operations and resident needs.
