Description:
Red Canyon Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support information technology initiatives within a federal program environment. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing technical projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful delivery within defined scope, schedule, and resource constraints.
This role supports the coordination of technical activities across project teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined and executed efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical project management experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate complex IT-related initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage information technology projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure activities remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Coordinate technical activities among project teams, stakeholders, and supporting organizations.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and track resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide project status updates, reports, and briefings to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, technical reviews, and coordination sessions to support project execution.
  • Ensure project documentation, deliverables, and records are maintained in accordance with organizational processes and standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and technical coordination practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting technical or information technology projects.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing technical projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing project schedules, tracking progress, and supporting technical project delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing project documentation and reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management or collaboration tools.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting federal government or defense-related technical programs.
  • Familiarity with IT project lifecycle management practices.
  • Experience coordinating technical teams supporting system implementation, modernization, or technology initiatives.
Work Location
This position is performed on-site in Dayton, Ohio, supporting technical program teams and stakeholders in a collaborative government program office environment. The role requires coordination with technical personnel, program staff, and leadership to support successful project execution.
