Regional Sales Director (South Asia)

About the Team:

Our Business Intelligence Team provides services, solutions and support to a wide range of customers including financial institutions, corporations, universities, government agencies, executives and business professionals.

About the Role

As the Regional Sales Director for our B2B team in South Asia, you will lead a high-performing group of sales and account managers dedicated to driving revenue growth and retention. Your success will be measured by your ability to scale our footprint across key market sectors in the region through disciplined people management, senior level customer engagement, and a deep understanding of the Indian business environment.

You Will:
  • Manage a specialized team to retain existing contract revenue while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities and identifying high-growth prospect lists.
  • Identify and execute strategic growth initiatives specifically tailored to the Indian market, collaborating closely with global product, content, and executive teams.
  • Drive rigorous sales goals and activity metrics, monitoring performance data to proactively address market threats and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with C-suite executives at major customer organizations, personally assisting in high-value negotiations and complex sales cycles.
  • Stay at the forefront of local industry trends, regulations, technological shifts, and competitive movements to provide actionable feedback for product evolution.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive team plans that ensure consistent high performance, professional development, and alignment with regional financial targets.

You Have:
  • 12+ years of sales management experience, with a proven track record of leading B2B teams that sell complex solutions to high-value clients across diverse industry sectors.
  • The ability to lead and inspire a regional team, possessing the coaching expertise necessary to elevate individual skills and sustain high morale in a competitive environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in solution-based selling, ideally within the online information or compliance solutions.
  • Direct experience managing multi-million dollar revenue portfolios and a history of meeting or exceeding ambitious financial targets.
  • Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to adapt your leadership style to the specific needs of the Indian business environment and a diverse workforce.
  • Expertise in consultative selling techniques, including advanced questioning, fact-finding, and the ability to resolve complex client challenges with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
