About This Position
The Director of Outpatient Services oversees the structure, strategy, performance, and operations of the Outpatient Services Department, including Outpatient Admissions, Registration, Funding, and Therapy Scheduling. In collaboration with clinical departments, nursing and physician leadership, this role ensures high standards of patient care, ethical practice, and professional conduct while fostering a positive, collaborative environment that supports high quality patient care and experience and staff development, learning, and teamwork.

Rate of pay: $54.56 - $78.57 per hour based on experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Certifications as required by licensure in an appropriate professional or clinical field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a clinical or clinically-related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required: Clinical experience working with traumatic brain injury and/or spinal cord injury preferred. Outpatient experience preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Leadership & Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Ability to develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and high‑quality patient care.
- Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and active listening. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, groups, and professional disciplines. Strong customer service orientation, including patient and family communication.
- Administrative & Analytical: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment. Strong problem‑solving skills, flexibility, and attention to detail. Ability to identify areas for improvement and participate in quality initiatives. Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. General knowledge of extracting information from database systems preferred.
- Oversees all aspects of the Outpatient Services Department, including operational planning, staffing, and coverage.
- Standardizes processes across departmental roles to ensure timely and equitable access to outpatient services.
- Provides direct supervision to Outpatient Services Department leadership and staff.
- Collaborates with outpatient leadership, clinical therapy directors, nursing and medical leadership to coordinate patient care and allocate resources.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains departmental statistics and ensures timely completion of staff evaluations.
- Uses data, performance metrics and stakeholder feedback to guide decision-making, evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Leads and participates in interdisciplinary quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates with hospital departments to support outpatient program direction and long‑range planning.
- Ensures sustained compliance with regulatory, accreditation and organizational standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Neurorehabilitative Services.
