POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Gold Star Foods Receptionist, under the supervision of the Customer Experience Director, is responsible for providing friendly, professional, customer service-oriented service. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, the Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming environment.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner.
•Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
•Provide accurate information to callers or transfer calls to the appropriate personnel.
•Assist visitors with inquiries and provide general information about the company.
•Maintain a neat and organized reception area, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
•Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
•Manage conference room reservations and assist with meeting preparations as needed.
•Assist with administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.
•Support Customer Experience departments with various clerical and administrative duties upon request.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with visitors and staff.
•Proficient in using telephone systems and office equipment.
•Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
•Prior experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Professional office environment, Primary office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. May include lifting to 25 pounds on occasion.
