NN: Nurse Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

At Willis Knighton Pierremont (WKP), our 27-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit is located on the 7th floor. Our support staff are an intricate part of our team! As a Nursing Assistant, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting nurses by providing direct patient care such as assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, positioning, ambulating, toileting, meal assistance, recording vital signs). Additional responsibilities include communication and collaboration with nursing and allied health professionals regarding assessment findings, patient health concerns, and following the patient's plan of care. CPI training and 1:1 monitoring education is required but can be obtained once employed. Hospital orientation, in addition to unit specific orientation, will be provided.
