About This Position
Title: Senior Manager or Director, Business Development Classification: Full-time, Exempt Location: Remote, US (ET hours)
Alex + Ani is looking for someone to drive incremental revenue through new partnerships and expanded distribution across a range of channels. This role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and closing new business, as well as managing renewals and expansions with existing partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and source new partnerships and distribution opportunities across multiple channels
- Own deal conversations from initial outreach through negotiation and contract execution
- Negotiate commercial terms, partnering with legal and finance as needed
- Coordinate handoff to internal teams once agreements are signed
- Lead renewals and expansions with existing partners to drive incremental revenue
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and provide visibility into deal status and timing
- Build strong relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders
- Stay close to market and partner trends to identify new opportunities
Ideal Background & Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or similar commercial roles within consumer, retail, or e-commerce
- Proven experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing revenue-generating deals across different partnership models
- Comfortable owning conversations with external partners and reviewing and understanding legal contracts to negotiate favorable business terms
- Experience working cross-functionally with legal, finance, and merch teams
- Strong judgment, organization, and follow-through
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Able to operate independently while staying aligned with broader company goals
