Position Summary
The Clinic RN provides high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting plastic surgeons and clinical staff, performing patient assessments, providing patient education, managing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all patients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clinical & Patient Care
- Perform patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and screening for procedure eligibility.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical and non-surgical procedures (e.g., injectables, fillers, laser treatments).
- Prepare patients and clinical treatment areas prior to procedures; maintain sterile and safe work environments.
- Monitor patients during and after treatments to identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions.
- Assist physicians during consultations and in-office procedures as needed.
- Support patient follow-up via phone or in person for recovery monitoring & education.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, treatment plans, consents, and charting in the electronic health record.
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and state nursing practice regulations.
Patient Education & Communication
- Educate patients about procedures, expected outcomes, risks, aftercare instructions, and appropriate skincare regimens.
- Address patient questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.
Clinic Operations & Team Collaboration
- Assist with clinic workflow by preparing treatment rooms, ordering and restocking supplies, and coordinating patient schedules.
- Collaborate with surgeons, clinic and practice staff to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Georgia RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient-focused interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Prior experience in aesthetic nursing, plastic surgery, dermatology, or related clinical practice (2+ years preferred).
- Experience with or strong knowledge of aesthetic procedures, specifically in surgery.
- Knowledge of and experience incharting and clinic systems.
