Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Compensation Specialist. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform market analysis to ensure the company's compensation programs are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation, including FLSA, EEO, and other applicable laws.

· Development and maintenance of compensation policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.

· Provide clear and accurate information to internal customers regarding compensation programs, policies, and procedures.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in various compensation management systems.

· Consult in the development and management of the compensation budget, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements in compensation administration and recommend solutions.

· Work closely across the organization to ensure alignment of compensation programs with overall business objectives.

· Coordinates and occasionally leads in the development and administration of salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees.

· Conduct job evaluations and analyses to determine appropriate salary levels and job classifications.

· Collaborate with HR and management to integrate compensation programs with performance management and Leadership Expectations.

· Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate managers about compensation programs and policies.

· Support internal and external audits related to compensation programs and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

· Generate and analyze compensation reports to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

· Fully proficient knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.

· Fully proficient analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Very Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.

· High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Very strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to present compensation processes and strategic initiatives at all levels.



Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $100,504.00 - USD $108,749.00 /Yr.
