Requirements:

Under general supervision, the Imaging Technician will perform a quality check of hard copy records and perform high-speed scanning of the paper master to convert them into an electronic PDF format.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manually counts files prior to prepping and after prepping. Must be completed after each box is finished.
  • Preps documents removing various format documents and folders from boxed content and prepares them for scanning, removing all paper clips, staples, and folds from pages.
  • Performs quality review of the prepared records prior to handing off to scanning technician to ensure accuracy and completeness of the paper files.
  • Scans documents into DOMA’s software and provides data entry (indexing), often deriving new titles based upon review of content.
  • Ability to perform image cleaning, resize and format using DOMA imaging software to create a mirror image of the paper copy of document and improve overall readability.
  • Performs quality review of the scanned images when completed scanning of files to ensure accuracy and completeness of the electronic file.
  • Compares electronic version to paper version to verify the wholeness of the scanning task.
  • Prepares manifests of all records scanned.
  • Ability to input accurate data entry.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times due to possible exposure to PHI & PII.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or some experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication for a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Highly detailed oriented. Pays great attention to quality output and adherence to a production quota.
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as the ability to work closely with others.
  • Experience with scanning business documents or high-speed scanning operations. Some experience with other document management systems.

Additional Qualifications

While performing the duties of the job, the employee must frequently lift/move boxes up to 25lbs.


Work Environment/Physical Demands

This position works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. There is moderate noise level due to general office noise.
This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

  • Physical activity may include: twisting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, grasping, grabbing, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion, climbing, etc.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
  • Frequently lift and/or move boxes up to 25lbs.
