This role sits at the heart of building and scaling real-world Generative AI systems that directly impact both customer experience and internal operations. You will join a fast-moving Data & AI organization focused on transforming business workflows through production-grade AI applications, including chatbots, conversational agents, and intelligent automation tools. As a hands-on Applied AI Engineer, you will move beyond experimentation to design, build, and deploy LLM-powered solutions in production environments. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, data, and external partners to turn AI concepts into scalable, reliable systems. The environment is highly collaborative and execution-driven, requiring strong technical depth and comfort with ambiguity. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly shape how AI is embedded across core digital and operational workflows.

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready Generative AI solutions across client-facing and internal platforms, including chatbots, assistants, and automation tools.
• Build and optimize LLM-based applications using prompt engineering, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Develop and maintain AI-powered conversational systems across digital and voice channels, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Create proof-of-concept solutions for emerging use cases such as document summarization, classification, and intelligent knowledge retrieval.
• Collaborate with ML/AI Ops engineers to ensure robust deployment pipelines, observability, and continuous improvement of AI systems.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to align technical implementation with business goals and deliver measurable impact.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI engineering, with recent hands-on focus on Generative AI.
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI chatbots or conversational AI systems.
• Strong Python programming skills with experience in modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, Transformers, OpenAI, or Hugging Face.
• Experience working with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate) and designing RAG pipelines.
• Solid understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, API orchestration, and model optimization techniques.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

• Competitive salary range of $129,500 – $149,000 depending on experience and location
