This role sits at the heart of a fast-growing, international business, where you will own and optimize end-to-end collections operations to ensure strong cash flow and revenue realization. You will lead a small team of collections professionals, driving performance through clear metrics, structured processes, and continuous improvement. In a highly dynamic, remote-first environment aligned with U.S. working hours, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to resolve payment issues, manage escalations, and strengthen customer relationships. The role combines leadership, operational rigor, and data-driven decision-making to scale a critical financial function. It is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments and enjoys building systems that directly impact business performance.
In this role, you will take full ownership of collections operations while leading a small team and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments. You will drive performance improvements, strengthen processes, and ensure accurate financial tracking across receivables.
- Lead and manage a team of 2–5 collections associates, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
- Oversee end-to-end collections activities including follow-ups, payment tracking, and dispute resolution.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve key metrics such as recovery rates, collections efficiency, and turnaround time.
- Handle escalations and manage sensitive customer or vendor payment issues with professionalism.
- Build and refine workflows, SOPs, and reporting systems to improve scalability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, and Operations to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
- Ensure consistent and accurate reporting of collections performance across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in collections, financial operations, or fast-paced operational environments, along with proven team leadership capabilities. You are highly analytical, structured in your thinking, and comfortable managing performance through data and metrics.
- 3–6 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, financial operations, or similar roles.
- At least 2 years of experience managing small teams (2–5 members).
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data tracking tools, with a metrics-driven mindset.
- Experience defining and monitoring KPIs such as productivity, conversion rates, and recovery performance.
- Strong communication skills, especially in handling difficult or sensitive conversations.
- Proven ability to improve processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and make fast decisions.
- Exposure to CRM or ticketing systems and familiarity with high-volume operations is a plus.
- Background in finance, revenue operations, or customer-facing operations is preferred.
