Maintenance Custodian (Grades 1-3) at Bath Iron Works – Bath, Maine

Become a part of the "Bath-Built is Best Built" tradition. As a Maintenance Custodian you will maintain cleanliness of facilities including offices, areas throughout the buildings, grounds keeping and snow removal.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Lawn mowing (riding and walk behind)
• Weed whacking and hedge trimming
• Hedge trimming and weed whacking
• Landscaping
• Groundskeeping
• Office cleaning
• Bathroom/shower cleaning
• Operate carpet shampooer
• Operate buffing machines
• Wax application
• Street sweeper
• Recycling
• Snow and ice removal (everywhere) and hand shoveling

Hiring for all shifts:

• 1st: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• 3rd: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

The pay range for this position ranges from $26.76/hr - $27.85/hr.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license required.

Required:

• A positive attitude and be ready to work as part of a team.
• Strong organization skills.
• Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing and buffing processes.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and sanitizing processes.
• Ability to shift tasks as needed.
• Must be able to meet and perform to the requirements of the physical task analysis.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of janitorial duties and standards.
• Experience performing janitorial cleaning in an industrial/commercial environment.
• Experience backing up a trailer.
• Experience operating and quick troubleshooting lawn care equipment.
• Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certified.
