Constantly pursuing excellence in people, products and performance. Our Production Team is currently seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join us and succeed.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Engineer is responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead by example, constantly striving for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in training, developing, and motivating department personnel to achieve production and divisional goals.
  • Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development.
  • Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure all product and system requirements are considered from the initial product conception to the finished result.
  • Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs.
  • Design fixtures and tooling for assembly tasks
  • Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions
  • Reduce variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.
  • Ensure product and process quality meets the specifications required.
  • Resolve manufacturing problems to reduce costs ensure maximum resource utilization and anticipate obstacles to prevent delays.
  • Capable of leading the daily activities of the manufacturing team.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations.

· Strong understanding of problem-solving techniques (5-Why, Six Sigma, etc.)

· Knowledge/experience with TS16949 and ISO 14001 requirements

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering

· Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
