This is a high-impact executive finance role designed for a strategic leader who wants to operate as a true CFO across multiple client engagements without being confined to traditional reporting or back-office functions. You will oversee and guide financial strategy for a diverse portfolio of growth-oriented businesses, working with real-time data to influence decisions that directly shape performance and scalability. The role combines hands-on financial leadership with advisory responsibility, spanning FP&A, cash flow management, forecasting, and executive-level communication. You will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals while ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across all client relationships. This is a fast-paced, client-facing environment where you will act as a trusted financial partner to founders, executives, and boards. It is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who thrives on variety, autonomy, and direct business impact.
- Lead and scale the client-facing CFO function across multiple engagements, ensuring consistent financial leadership and advisory excellence.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of CFOs, controllers, and senior finance professionals supporting client portfolios.
- Own all core FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance tracking.
- Oversee client financial health, service delivery quality, and escalation management across multiple accounts.
- Partner with leadership to build scalable processes, frameworks, and best practices for client finance operations.
- Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems that enable real-time decision-making.
- Guide cash flow management, capital strategy, and financial planning for client businesses.
- Support strategic initiatives including fundraising, M&A, and financing activities.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
- Strengthen client communication standards and ensure proactive, high-value financial guidance.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial leadership roles.
- Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Head of Finance, or senior financial leader.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights and actionable decisions.
- Experience managing multiple clients or business units in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience mentoring finance professionals.
- Client-facing experience with strong executive communication and presentation skills.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Highly adaptable, organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
