We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production lines
- Respond to maintenance service calls and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to troubleshoot and repair systems
- Operate machine tools and hand tools to fabricate, modify, or repair parts and structures
- Log maintenance activities and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Assist in the installation, relocation, or removal of manufacturing equipment
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and hazard communication standards
- Collaborate with production staff and engineering teams to resolve recurring equipment issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant machining experience
- Technical Skills: Understanding of Controls HMI, Conveyor Systems, Low Pressure Boiler Systems
- Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred: Welding experience, Arc Class Certification
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Mobility: Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
- Vision: Requires close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
- Environment: Work takes place in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise.
