About This Position
The child and youth care worker PRN provides direct care services in the day treatment program using a person centered, systems of care approach. Responsibilities include supervising and engaging youth in structure therapeutic activities, supporting behavior and social skills development, and maintaining a safe environment. This rule also requires timely and accurate documentation of services, including daily notes, behavior observations, and incident reports in compliance with program standards. This is a first shift position PRN, Position, Monday through Thursday, based on program needs.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree in human services preferred.
- Paraprofessionals, Associate Professionals, and Qualified Mental Health Professionals are encouraged to apply.
Experience in a school setting preferred
- 6 months or more experience in human services field preferred
- Requires knowledge and the ability to practically implement mental health regulations and clinical services
- Must be culturally sensitive to children and families and support cultural diversity throughout the program
- Must have basic computer and math skills
- Must have a valid North Carolina’s Driver’s License
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal, HCPR and driving checks.
Hourly rate: $19.23
