Day-to-Day:
The primary function of this role will be to profitably improve the bank's competitive position, consistent with its mission, within the markets served; responsible for customer service, business development, and all other objectives, policies and programs for the retail division of the bank. Plans, directs and coordinates the efforts of retail staff members at all branch locations as well as the Customer Contact Center, marketing and commercial services departments. Responsible for directing adherence to all policies and procedures to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Supplies strategic analysis and efficiency improvement advice and assistance to the CEO/President and other operating units within the organization.}. Other day-to-day functions may include:
- Lead efforts to innovate, develop, maintain, price and sell retail banking deposit products and services to grow the bank's core deposit base and increase shareholder value.
- Supervise and direct retail activities to maintain customer service standards at all branch locations, the Customer Contact Center, as well as bank marketing department and commercial services department.
- Direct retail division in achievement of annual goals consistent with the organization's financial and strategic plan.
- Measure and report division performance to all constituents, including the Board of Directors.
- Assist branch optimization efforts, focusing on efficiency improvements and strategic efforts to improve productivity and operating margin of the retail division.
- Lead the retail division to achieve consistent policy adherence to all standard operating procedures, compliance requirements, laws, and regulations to meet audit and regulator requirements while also minimizing the bank's fraud risk.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Experience:
Qualified candidates should have ten to fifteen years of similar or related experience with banking and customer service experience a must. Candidates should also possess a bachelors degree or have formal certification recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelors degree. An ability to manage personnel and resolve issues that can impact multiple departments and/or divisions should be demonstrated. Additionally, strong verbal and written communication skills, along with an ability to juggle multiple projects, are required for this position. Occasional travel should be expected.
